Nice Ice

Finally we are getting some winter weather here in Georgia! Tim lit a fire everday this week and I am loving it!
McGwire is loving the ice that he found in the swimming pool this morning!

P.S. There are no "after" PICTURES to show of McGwire's clean room because there is no AFTER to take a picture OF!!!

Extreme Makeover~ Lilah's version

Last week, when I went up to Mac's room to put up his laundry , I just about had a heart attack when I saw the mess. It looked like a hurricane had gone through there. Worse than it has ever been. Apparently it was so bad that even HE couldn't stand to be in there anymore, so he started sleeping in the guest bedroom and started destoying that as well. I noticed Lilah's room was getting bad too (outgrown clothes and toys scattered on the floor) so I put an end to it this weekend. I cleaned the guest room and started on Lilah's room. Tim had bought some beautiful pictures for her room for Christmas that needed hanging and I needed to do a little tweaking with the decor in there anyway so I did that while McG supposedly cleaned his room. More on that tommorrow!
Here's a couple of "before" pictures
I am embarrassed to show them, but in my defense, I
have been very busy since Christmas!

And here's the "after's". I am pleased with the way it turned out. Too bad Lilah can't appreciate my glorious decorating skills!

These are the pictures Tim bought for her. Aren't they beautiful?

I ordered a monogram for the round one.

An apothecary jar filled with pacifiers! 'Can't beat that. Thank P*ttery Barn for letting me steal that idea from you!!

McGwire wrote this note to Lilah after she was born.

Lilah's blessing gown that Grandma made.

On a side note: I babysat a little boy from church the other day and Lilah was very intregued by him. She stared at him the whole time and followed him everywhere he went.

It was very cute but I certainly hope she grows out of that. She don't need to be following no boys around!

The Return of Hockey Season...

It sounds like the title of a horror movie. Actually it's my own personal horror movie! haha Tim and McG love it but it's hard for me to wrestle a 16 month old for an hour by myself.

Friday night was the first game and we lost!! :(    But Saturday we won.  In fact McG did awesome!!
He was pretty stoked!

Stranded...

I had to work last night and Tim and McG had to go to scouts so Tim put on a video for Lilah to watch, until I could get a chance to fix her a bottle, and then he left. I heard her fiddling around and playing so I thought she was OK. While I was on a call, I heard her calling my name. I told her I would be right there and I went on with my call. I heard her crying and calling my name and then crying some more...this time, a little louder. Of course the caller I was talking to wouldn't hurry up and let me go (I mean, come on..what else can I tell you about diarrhea and a diaper rash? It's not brain surgery) and so Lilah got louder and louder! Anywho, when I finally got off the phone, I ran into the kitchen and found that she was stuck in the kitchen chair!!! Poor baby!!!! So I did what any other concerned parent would do........

I got my camera!!!

...and then rescued her!!

Here's a little video Mac took the other day. I wanted Bev to see a little of Lilah in action since she hasn't seen her in a while. Everyone else just buck up and deal with it!! haha

Yes, that is John Denver you hear in the background. I am addicted to that CD. Such a beautiful voice!

Mad dancing skills!

Oh...did I say mad dancing skills?? I meant BAD dancing skills! McGwire had me cracking up yesterday. He inherited his daddy's rhythm for sure.

Tim had just won a radio contest and we were waiting to hear what he had won. BTW, it wasn't the $10,000 I hope he'd won. It was movie tickets. Our luck!

Is our life really this boring?

Nothing blogworthy is going on. Christmas and New years included. Tim took a few Christmas pics on his camera but has not downloaded them onto the computer yet. I worked on New years eve/day so nothing good happened then. McGwire went back to school this morning so I have a smile this size of Texas on my face today. If only I could enroll Lilah in daycare without being judged....

My favorite Christmas gift this year was the new assessories for the nativity Tim bought me last year.

I went from this:

To this:

I absolutely LOVE it!!! I don't ever want to put it away! It doesn't look very big in the picture but it is massive. I would guess that it is maybe 24" tall. Gorgeous!! (Thanks again, Timmy!)

We enjoyed Kyle's visit. McGwire had a ton of fun with him but I think that he is  grateful to NOT have a big brother.

Kyle likes to take "way too close up" self portraits. (these are only 2 of about 20 pictures like this)

He also likes to take pictures of everyone else  "way too close up" too.

p.s. I told Tim to NEVER wear that hat in public ever again!

He took pictures of me too but I deleted them all. I don't "do" pictures.

What I DO "do" (haha ~I said dodo) is totally freak out when I am asked to take a simple meal to someone in need. A lady in our ward had a baby and I was asked to take dinner to them one night. Sounds easy enough. 'Couple of things about me:

#1 horrible cook

#2 overthink the menu

So after a few panic attacks and a decision to just order from KFC, I made up a cute basket with cookies, fruit and a soda and tried my best to fix it up to look nice. Lots of ribbon , a cute gift tag with the baby's monogram (Come on, who doesn't like a monogram? (p.s. Thanks Timmy...again) and Kentucky's finest chicken...can't get better than that!

Last but not least...Sunday pictures. Our ward started 9am church this week and I was not lookin foward to it one bit! Especially after having to work until 1am the night before. I mean I was REALLY freaking out about it (just ask anyone who had to listen to me complain)! But, it actually didn't turn out as bad as I thought it would. It just took a little planning and praying.

next week I'll plan on combing everyone's hair before taking a picture!

Happy New Year

Our family theme this year is:
"Start again in 2010"
So far, we haven't started anything yet.
We were going to have a family meeting this week to go over all of the details but that hasn't happened yet and as of right now we are failing miserably! haha
No news to report so far and no pictures have been taken. We are having camera issues again so I need to get all of that squared away as well because I need to post more on the blog.
I did come across one cute picture. Brannon wears a hat anywhere he goes. Usually a knit cap. So Lilah has a hat as well and loves to wear it just like "Nana" wears his.

I have to work this weekend and we have a pretty full week leading up to the weekend but hopefully things will settle down and we can...
