The First Shall Be the Last

McGwire's 3rd and LAST (thank goodness) pinewood derby was Saturday. Poor McGwire came in last place again...for the 3rd year in a row. I felt so bad for him. He was OK for the first couple of races that he lost but it got old quickly when he kept losing the other few races. Actually, I think he came in 2nd to last but still.....

Here's his car. It's a cheese wedge. That may have been his first mistake.

This was taken just before going to the race. He was so excited!

Waiting to race!

NOT a happy camper!

That's his car in the middle lane.

Here's Tim doing the cubmaster "thang". Whatever that is.

Lilah kept busy :

digging through the trash,

stealing church pamphlets,

terrorizing the girls trying to babysit her for me,

throwing temper tantrums,

pulling down chairs

and showing off her new shoes!! haha

Sunday Picture Time

This dress that Lilah is wearing is the reason I prayed for a little girl. I absolutely love playing dress up. I'm paying for it though!! She may look like an angel but she's a little devil, I tell you!!

See??? What'd I tell you??

Here's devil #2. I told him I wanted a picture with him and his tie and so he promptly picked it up and said, "Here it is. Take a picture"!!! Snotwad! haha

Side note: Lilah lost one of her little blue squeaky shoes and we can't find it anywhere!! UGH!! So I got these little white ones and :GASP: she is wearing them before Easter! I hope this doesn't hurt her chances of becoming a debutante.

Our "Special" Girl

Lilah went in for her 18m check up and the doc confirmed my concerns of her lack of talking. At her age she should be saying 10-20 words and Lilah says one. Ok sometimes two, since she now is beginning to say "Dada". And maybe 3 if you count "uh-oh" as a word. So, they are sending her to a speech therapist to see if they can perform a little voodoo magic on her.

Also, to help her start talking, the doc told us that it was probably a good idea to start taking away the pacifier.

I am confused and not really sure what she is talking about!?!

hockey, hockey and more hockey

McG had his end of the seaon party last Friday at Stevie B's and got a pretty cool trophy this time. They came in 2nd for the season but didn't make it past the first play-off game. Spring season starts next week and Tim will again be the comissioner and McG's coach...plus, since they are lacking goalies in the 12 and under league, they want McG to play with them as well.
OH JOY!!!

I can't wait for Lilah to start ballet!

Snow Day!

Here's the rest of the snow pictures.

It snowed non stop from about 10am until about 9pm. It was crazy.

We let McG play Sunday afternoon for about an hour. He came in to change clothes and get warm then he got dressed again and went out and played for another hour or so.

Frosty the (dirty rotten filthy) Snowman!

I have to show this picture of Lilah looking out the window, but check out our blinds. They look like Billy Bob teeth. We really need to replace those! haha

Still snowing at 8pm.

The next day!

School was cancelled (the school board is trying to kill me) and McG was dressed and ready to go outside at about 0730. I made him wait til 0900.

He and his friends were out on our driveway riding in their tobagons.

Lilah was not a bit amused.

I got dressed, picked up Lilah, grabbed the camera and went outside to take some pics. It took me all of 1 1/2 steps to slip on a piece of ice and fall flat on my butt! I went down like a lead baboon...um, I mean balloon!

3 miracles happened that day.
#1- nobody saw me fall (the neighbors, their parents or McG)
#2- Lilah didn't even know how close we came to death. Not a scratch.
#3- I didn't break anything. (but I swear there's a new crack in the sidewalk)

speaking in tongues

Mormons don't normally speak in tongues but Lilah and Tim had a conversation going on the other day that was like something out of the Old Testament!

Enjoy!

Sunday Glorious Sunday

I couldn't stop smiling all day Sunday!!! Why?? Because it was Lilah's first day of nursery!! Yippee!!!!

Here she is in nursery ignoring me and playing with a doll!

Here she is ignoring me again!!

See?? even McG is smiling he's so happy she's in nursery! haha

I'm not sure why he's this happy though, because I have been the one struggling with her during all 3 hours of church for the past 18 months.

Yeah, whatever buddy!

Here's my little princess. The same princess I had to take out of Sac. meeting because she was fussing and fighting and wanting to get down and run amuck! Also the same princess I took to nursery and told them to lose my number!!!

Now that she's officially 18 months and in nursery (I can't stop saying that. It's music to my ears.) she can stop getting older now. She's growing up way too fast!
