Happy Birthday Lilah

I can't believe it has been 2 years since Lilah came to earth. It makes me sad to think how quickly time is passing because it's only going to get quicker~ I learned that the hard way with McGwire. We had her birthday party this morning and although she seemed to have a good time, she really had no clue what was going on. Oh the wasted money!! haha

Here's the birthday girl fresh from a good night sleep ready to start her birthday!

I had a ton of stuff to do and clean so I started decorating the night before. Brannon helped me by putting up the streamers and helping me get the table ready.

Here's his handy work.

I made the green pom poms and the "2".

Lilah was not a bit happy when everyone arrived. It wasn't that she didn't want to play with her friends, but that we wouldn't let her eat any hershey's kisses. She seriously cried and whined for the first 15-20 mins. I was ready to have Tim take her for a drive so that the rest of the kids could have some fun!

She cheered up quickly when she realized that I really would put her up for adoption if pushed to the limit.

Here's her cute little birthday outfit that I bought a year ago. She wasn't able to wear it last year since we had to go to Canada and didn't have a party for her.

Here's those $*&# kisses she was obsessing over.

She gladly gave up on the the kisses once the cupcakes were served, though.

Here's a few shots of the spread.

Here's a sample of Tim's handy work.
I really put our marriage to the test with this party. He thought I was out of my mind but he was sweet enough to oblige. He says "What my baby wants, my baby gets."
I think I'll keep him.
The cupcake toppers said "Happy 2nd Birthday".

This next project was what almost sent Tim to the divorce lawyer. But could this be any cuter?

Tim worked his magic once again and designed these shirts himself.
We gave them as party favors.

Brannon was in charge of taking pictures and it was a good thing we didn't have to pay him. He didn't get pictures of all the kids, just a few random shots.

Time for presents!!!!!
Lilah got lots of good stuff. Unfortunately she didn't realize it was all for her but she has had a blast playing with her new stuff already!

We had to stop midway through to wipe her snotty nose. Not really sure where the snot came from because she didn't have a runny nose before the party or since!

Happy birthday my sweet Lilah. You are a pistol but we love you more than you'll ever know!!!!

Stay tuned

Lot's of birthday party pictures coming Monday if Lilah doesn't get sick before then. It would be my luck to have to cancel the party.

Sicko

Well, it took McG all of 9 days to be sick of school already. Yesterday the health clinic called to tell me that McGwire had a tummy ache and sore throat. He said strep throat was going arond the class and he felt sick. I stayed strong and stood my ground and told him to go back to class and see how he felt after lunch. Luckily he was able to get through the day without complaints. This AM when I woke him up for school, he was pitiful and complaining again of both symptoms. I debated on believing him or not but when I took his temp, it showed 100.4 so I let him stay home. I wook him to the doctor to be tested for strep and it was negative. He has been happy, smiling and playful ever since the bus passed our house at 7:15. Fool me once mister....

Here's a homework shot from earlier this week.

2 y/o pictures

While she was here visiting,Brannon's girlfriend took some pictures of Lilah for her 2 y/o photos. I think she did an excellent job (especially, considering what she had to work with). Lilah just hates the camera!

Here's a sample of her handiwork.

Day Four...fishing time.

Better late than never.... and since I have no other news or pictures to post, I may as well post these. This is the last of the vacation pics, I promise.

This must be some kind of shark because they said that all they caught were sharks and stingrays.

By the end of the trip, my little boy was a little seasick, I believe.
