11 months old

Today , Lilah's 11 months. I can't believe it. It's too much for me to bear. Time is flying by.

She started walking about a week ago. She took a couple of steps to McGwire and then day by day has been adding more and more steps. We counted about 8-9 steps as the most. As my mom says...let it be known that she was walking at 10 months!! P.S. Could my voice be more annoying in this video??

Mad About Monograms

It has become painfully apparent that I am obsessed with monograms. When I close my eyes at night I picture my initials on every pillow, jar, soap dispenser and shirt in my home. And don't even ask about what I picture Lilah's initials on. My question is...can you have too many monograms? I believe I already know the answer!

These are just MY initials. Lilah's initials are all over the place too.

I have a bathroom project for Tim this weekend that features......wait for it....OUR MONOGRAMS!! I hope he can get to it because I can't wait to put more initials up. I wonder if there is a 12 step program for this?

Hello...is anyone still out there?

I know, I know...I have a blog and I really should keep up with my posting. There is nothing "blogworthy" happening, really. Plus, I have to blog on Tim's computer which is upstairs and quite frankly, I am waaaaay too lazy to climb those stairs sometimes. That is the reason Lilah is still sleeping in a pack-and-play in our bedroom at nearly a year old. Is that something I shouldn't admit??

We have had several playdates over the past couple of weeks. Several swim dates with McGwire's friends and a couple with Lilah's friends too. Swim dates involve me having to clean the house AND the pool which is another reason I don't have time to blog. We also went to picky and Grampy's twice this month for the weekend. Other than that...nothing is going on!

Remember this dress that I made??

It has now transformed into this.

I love the monogram but paid way too much for it. My normal monogramming lady is busy getting her house to sell and I didn't want to bother her. I WILL be bothering her from now on.
Did you notice the "cage" in the background? We bought a play yard for Lilah. She hates it... we love it.
What Lilah does love is her big brother!

Speaking of dresses (were we speaking of dresses?)...I hit the mother load a few weeks ago at a consignment store here in Atlanta! I got 7 beautifully smocked bishop dresses for less than $100. Yes, you heard me correctly. Most were $8.99 and the most expensive one was $17.99. Crazy deal!! They are all different sizes so Lilah is set for several years.

Lastly, here is a picture of my baby girl with her face all bruised and battered. There is a happy story behind her bruises but I won't say what until we can get it on video. Any guesses?? Maybe tomorrow.

WARNING!!! Long, boring, pointless post ahead!!

Tim is out of town and the kids and I are going up to NC for a few days so I thought I'd post a few pics because I know everyone just can't stand to not see pictures of my kids for too long!! We really are boring, I know. Brace yourselves!!

An open letter to Uncle JoJo from McGwire.

Dear Uncle JoJo,
IN YOUR FACE!!!!
Love,
McGwire
(He made darn sure that I posted this!!!) haha

I found Lilah by the back door yelling for Tim. He was cooking on the grill and she was ready for some ribs!!

More hockey shots!

It seems that's all we ever do anymore is going to hockey games and hockey practice!!

Here's a picture from Spring season. McG is on the end and he looks like Goliath!

Here's a few from this season!

Here's his "softer" side.... with his Webkinz collection!!

I found this picture on Tims camera. (This is one of the best pictures of me..I look great when I'm cut out)

Here's Lilah in another same dress/age comparison. This is about a 3-4m age difference.

March:

July: (I couldn't get a good shot of her without her sticking her tongue out...It's HUGE!!!!)

McGwire made a picture of Merek as "mustard art" (whatever that means). There's $3 of mustard Ill never get back!

I warned you!!! This was long, boring and TOTALLY pointless. I really need to get these kids out and somewhere exciting. We were supposed to go with Tim out of town to the beach but I brilliantly nixed that idea and opted for sitting around the house instead. I should have my head examined!!!

Summer fun!

McGwire had a playdate with his friend Merek last week and of course I took pictures. We lead a very boring life so I will blog about just about anything. It was very hot that day and so I sweated and smoldered because I refuse to wear shorts. Trust me...all of Atlanta thanks me for that small favor!

Here are the two putt putt experts.

Lilah looks like I was feeling.

Winning the trophy!

Did I mention that Lilah looks like I was feeling?? Hot and ready to leave!!haha No really, we had fun. It got us out of the house and let us visit with friends. That's always a good thing!

Happy 4th of July!!!!!

It's actually almost the 5th of July so I'd better make this a quick post. We had a really good day today. We had friends over to swim and to swat the flies away during a BBQ picnic. Tim made ribs for the first time and they were delish!! Then we went to their house a few hours later after a well needed rest and then enjoyed a spectacular fireworks show in their backyard courtesy of cheap Walmart fireworks. The boys (young and old alike) had a blast playing with fire. Us girls sat back and enjoyed the show. Please enjoy a few shots of the festivities:

McGwire and Lilah look like they're witnessing a murder.

Baby's first 4th of July!!

Tim LOVES the 4th of July. He was having a blast with his redneck fireworks!

If anyone shouldn't be playing with fire, it's McGwire!

The blind leading the blind...or is it the dumb leading the dumb?

We had 911 on standby!

Me and lulabelle enjoying the show! Is it me or does this look like we're watching leaves burn?

The boys had a blast! They made sure to stomp out all of the firecracker as to not start a fire.

I can hear you all ooooing and awwwwing!

The three amigo's

I hope everyone had as much fun as we did today!!!
