Signs, signs, everywhere there's signs!

Here's a video of Lilah "signing" milk. We have been using a few signs since she was just a couple of months old but she just really started doing it on her own this week.

On a different note. Here's another "sign". A SIGN that McGwire needs a spanking!!!

Yes that's GUM under the stair railing. Naughty boy!

One last sign. ..Tim put this one up about 2 weeks ago.

The day after, our neighbors across the street promptly put up their sign too.

Our poor sign keeps falling down. Theirs is still standing strong.

I wonder if that's a "sign"???

Playing Hookie

Poor McGwire got up this AM at 0300 with a sore throat and stuffy nose so I let him stay home from school. All signs and symptoms of illness all but disappeared as soon as the school bell rang!

Here's a picture of the patient.

Boy, you'd better act sick!

No! Like deathly sick!!

That's more like it!!!

Here's what we did all day.

We watched a lot of this:

Wrote a little note to you-know-who.

Ate a little of this:

And not much else!

On a side note, here is Lilah's new shoes. Aren't they neato? If she loses these, I totally give up!!!

Oh is that my new birthday ring? How did that picture get in there?? haha Mom wanted to see a pic of it. (Kayla, I hate to be a copy cat but I just had to have this ring. Post a picture of yours. I forgot what it looked like).

Tumble bug

Lilah fell down while helping me get the mail yesterday. I know I'm gonna be arrested soon with all of her bumps, bruises and scrapes. If you think she looks bad, you should see the pavement. Poor baby!

New frame

Remember that whole "lost pink shoe" fiasco?? The whole reason for the hobby lobby trip was to get Tim's favorite picture reframed. The glass broke during the move (yes the one 3 1/2 years ago) but that didn't stop us from proudly displaying it over our fireplace despite it's tackiness. That's how we roll here in the South!!!

I didn't take a good "before" picture but you can tell a little by this old one. Check out the right corner. It starts between the "r" and "a" and you can't even tell where it ends in this picture. That's how bad it was.

Here's the new mat and frame. Tim picked it all out by himself. I think it looks great.

I think he hung it a little high but he refuses to drill anothe hole in the bricks so I'll have to make due.

Little Pink Shoe

Dear Little Pink Shoe,

You looked so cute sitting up there in your package on the shelf at the consignment store. I took one look at you and knew you were destined to be worn by my little girl. You and your sweet partner matched so many of her little dresses and outfits so I knew I would be bringing you home that day. You were marked $12.99 but with my $10 off coupon you would cost me only a mere $2.99. That was your most attractive selling point... well, that and the fact that you were the only size 12-18 months that they had. I could hardly contain my excitment when I took you and your partner out of your package and placed you lovingly on Lilahs feet. She loved you both right away too. A match made in heaven. But, Alas...it wasn't meant to be. You made it through lunch at Ida's Pizza. You made it through long car rides to Michaels and Hobby Lobby. You made it to our loving home, through a short play time and nap. But on that fateful 2nd trip to Hobby Lobby, just -like- that!!!...you were gone. Less than 8 hours after I brought you into our loving family you were quietly and quicky lost. I want you to know that we frantically searched all over that store several times. We did all we could but it looks like you have been taken from us forever. We enjoyed you while you were with us.

Until we meet again,

Your family

Sports fan with painted nails

Lilah's BFF Olivia gave her several little bottles of nail polish for her birthday and I just now got around to painting her fingernails. It was quite a feat as she was not a bit happy about being held down for a beauty treatment. She was even more irritated by me wanting to take a picture of my handiwork.

I'm trying to "girlie" her up and her grandparents are try to make her a tom~boy!!

Grandma gave her a Met's bib...

...and Grampy set her up with some Bama stuff.
